Ryan Lanclos
Industry Manager-Emergency Management and Disaster Response
Mr. Lanclos has been a member of the Esri Public Safety team since joining Esri in 2006 as the Public Safety Account Executive for the Central US. He currently works as the Emergency Management and Disaster Response Industry Manager. His responsibilities include understanding and guiding Esri’s marketing activities for emergency management, global humanitarian assistance / disaster relief (HADR), and crisis mapping. Mr. Lanclos also leads Esri’s Disaster Response Program.
Professional Experience:
- Over 13 years of experience working with GIS at multiple levels of government
- First Geographic Information Officer (GIO) for the State of Missouri where he coordinated GIS resources statewide
- Served as the GIS lead for the Missouri Governor’s Homeland Security Advisory Council
- Implemented a nationally recognized GIS program focused on bio-security
- Homeland Security chair for the 9 state MidAmerica GIS Consortium (MAGIC)
- Esri Disaster Response operations lead for:
- 2011 National Level Exercise
- 2011 Ohio River Flooding
- 2011 Joplin, Missouri Tornado
- 2011 Sedalia, Missouri Tornado
- 2011 Missouri River Flooding
- 2011 Horn of Africa Drought/Famine Crisis
Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Geology—Centenary College of Louisiana
- Graduate work in Geography—University of Missouri
