GIS is a key technology for creating a more sustainable planet, and Esri is committed to evolving the ArcGIS platform to support this vision.
Esri has donated software to nongovernmental organizations (NGOs) doing conservation work around the world. More than 5,000 organizations use Esri GIS software, ranging from global organizations like The Nature Conservancy to local groups and clubs.
GIS enhances NGOs' effectiveness with data collection, modeling, mapping, and visualizations that support conservation efforts and natural resource management.
Esri also supports the Society for Conservation GIS, a group of dedicated GIS practitioners who volunteer their time to help NGOs be successful.
