User Software Applications Fair
If you've developed a software application using Esri technology or have customized an Esri product to meet specific business requirements, you could be selected to share your work at the User Software Applications Fair. Integration with non-GIS applications is welcomed.
Space is limited and entries will be considered based on scope, creativity, and effectiveness. Participants are highly encouraged to spend time at the fair to speak with their peers about their entry.
Please keep in mind, the deadline to submit your application is Friday, June 16, 2017.
Recommendations for Types of Applications
The types of applications that are recommended are focused on the scope, creativity, effectiveness, and delivery of an application to meet the stated requirements, independent of the software that was used to create it. The winning applications will make the best use of Esri software (alone or in combination).
Examples of application types (these are examples only and not meant to be categories):
- Mobile and Native GIS Applications: Add powerful spatial capabilities to your native apps and empower your app users to do all things GIS, even when offline. ArcGIS Apps include a wide range of apps that help you interact with the maps and data in your organization. Use AppStudio for ArcGIS to configure native apps that you can deploy to your users or to app stores. ArcGIS Runtime SDKs help you build and deploy native applications to a variety of popular platforms and devices. SDKs are available for Android, iOS, Java, macOS, .NET, and Qt.
- Desktop GIS Applications: ArcGIS Desktop and ArcGIS Enterprise can be extended to support custom workflows and better integration for your organizational needs. They can be extended using stand-alone GIS applications or tools developed using the Web APIs, Mobile and Native Apps, ArcGIS Pro SDK for .NET, Geoprocessing Tools with Python, ArcObjects SDK for .NET, ArcObjects SDK for Java, Operations Dashboard. ArcGIS Desktop tasks can be automated with scripts using ArcGIS API for Python or ArcPy.
