FEDERAL MAP BOOK SUBMISSION - Mapping the Nation, VOLUME 2
Esri's Mapping the Nation books showcase the latest innovative GIS projects in the federal community and help demonstrate how geospatial technology is used to understand and address a broad range of national issues.

If you would like to submit a map to be considered for the next edition of Mapping the Nation please click here. The deadline for online submissions is Friday, May 6, 2011, at 5:00 p.m. (PST).

The submission process is composed of three steps:
  1. Complete the contact form.
  2. Complete the permission form.
  3. Upload digital file(s) via FTP.
Use the blue menu/navigation bar at the top of the page to jump between steps.

Contact form
Please complete the form and note the required fields. Carefully review this information for accuracy before submitting it.

A map description of at least 100 words is required and will be edited for clarity and length. Every effort will be made to ensure that your description is well represented in the book.

Permission form
The permission form has to be completed for your map to be published in the Esri Federal Map Book. Your digital signature (simply typing your name) is required in the field allotted. Read the accompanying acknowledgment before signing and submitting the form. Carefully review this information for accuracy before submitting it.

If you have completed both contact and permission forms, please press the Submit Permission button. Once you submit your forms, you will not be allowed to make any more changes to the forms.

If you need to change your submitted information, please contact Heather Warren, Esri Federal Marketing Coordinator.

FTP details
For best reproduction, we prefer to use digital images rather than scan hard copy maps. All digital files must be at least 300 dpi and should be 24-by-36 inches (typical poster size) or larger. If these specifications cannot be met, submit the highest quality file possible. Digital files can be uploaded to the Esri FTP. Instructions are on the FTP details page.

Maps differ in size, scale, and format. There is no limitation to the size of map that can be submitted. However, please note that because of the constraints in book dimensions (10-by-11 inches), your full map may not be reproduced and only detailed portions of your map may be shown. Every effort will be made to ensure that your map is well represented in the book.

What’s next?
If your map is selected, you will receive a notification by e-mail.

Thank you for your contribution and participation.
