Dear Customer,

If a login has been provided to you by Esri via e-mail notification, please login. Otherwise, if you would like to complete an online map submission to be considered for the Esri Map Book Volume 30 click here. The deadline for new, online submissions is Friday, October 24, 2014, at 5:00 p.m. (PST).

The submission process is composed of three steps:
  1. Complete the contact form.
  2. Complete the permission form.
  3. Upload digital file(s) via Esri's Box account.
Use the blue menu/navigation bar at the top of the page to jump between steps.

Contact form
If you have completed the Esri Map Gallery registration, then your contact form should be populated with that information. If not, complete the form and note the required fields. Carefully review this information for accuracy before submitting it.

If you change your e-mail address in this form, it will change your login e-mail as well. So the next time you login, use your updated e-mail address.

Permission form
You must provide the project or map title, data source credits, basemap credits, credit lines, map authors, and a map description of between 150-250 words. Your description may be edited for clarity and length. Data source credits are mandatory for individual data layers, photos, and graphics. If needed, a 3rd Party permission form can be downloaded for any data, photos, or graphics that are not owned by you. One exception is data that resides in the public domain. In such cases please provide a URL to the public domain disclaimer where the data was obtained. Include your permission forms and disclaimer URLs when you submit your files in the next step. Basemap credits are separate and can be obtained from the bottom right corner of the map window of ArcGIS Desktop and Online when basemaps are utilized. For example:

Reference/World_Boundaries_and_Places - Esri, HERE, DeLorme, TomTom, MapmyIndia, © OpenStreetMap contributors, and the GIS user community

World_Imagery - Source: Esri, DigitalGlobe, GeoEye, i-cubed, USDA, USGS, AEX, Getmapping, Aerogrid, IGN, IGP, swisstopo, and the GIS User Community

The permission form has to be completed for your map to be published in the Esri Map Book. Your digital signature (simply typing your name) is required in the field allotted. Read the accompanying acknowledgment before signing and submitting the form. Carefully review this information for accuracy before submitting it.

Located at the bottom of the permission form is a highlighted Changes Complete checkbox. If you have completed both contact and permission forms, check the box and press the Submit Permission button. Once you check this box and submit your forms, you will not be allowed to make any more changes to the forms. If you are not ready to complete the forms, do not check the box. At any time, you will be able to login to complete your forms or view the information that you have submitted.

Image details
For best reproduction, we require digital images. All digital files must be at least 300 dpi and should be 24-by-36 inches (typical poster size) or larger. Digital files can be uploaded to the Esri Box account. Instructions are on the File Transfer page.

Maps differ in size, scale, and format. There is no limitation to the size of map that can be submitted. However, please note that because of the constraints in book dimensions (10-by-11 inches), your full map may not be reproduced and only detailed portions of your map may be shown.

Please provide all supplemental graphics, photos, videos and animations. All maps will be evaluated for both the print and enhanced digital versions of the Map Book.

What's next?
If your map is selected, you will be notified by e-mail. Before the Map Book is published, your Map Book page layout will be sent via e-mail to you. You will get a chance to see your map(s) and map description together in a draft layout in PDF format. Any edits or changes should be submitted at that time.

Thank you for your participation.

Best wishes,
