Preparing for an Interview

  • The types of questions you'll be asked will depend on the position for which you are applying. Interview questions are intended to reveal your abilities and potential to grow.
  • We encourage you to ask questions. This is a chance for you to find out more about us and for us to get to know you.
  • Study Esri and the group to which you are applying. Besides all the information you'll find on esri.com, the Web provides a wealth of resources. Take the time to learn what we do.
  • Come well rested. Over the course of your interview, you will meet with 5 to 10 people and will want to feel mentally prepared.
  • Be honest. It's better to be honest and tell us if you don't know something than to make something up.
  • If you have examples of your work that are applicable to the position for which you are interviewing, bring them with you. This helps us to identify and appreciate your skills and accomplishments.
  • Prepare for abstract questions.
  • Relax and be yourself. A positive attitude and natural enthusiasm are key to making a good impression.

Esri is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) supporting diversity in the workforce.
