Software Development

Depending on your areas of study and interest, you'll work on our desktop, web, mobile, 2D/3D visualization, imagery, or core server team.

We seek students who are majoring in computer science and have knowledge in C++, C#, .NET, Silverlight, Java, JavaScript, HTML5, web, and/or mobile technology; no GIS is required.

In the summer of 2012, interns in Software Development worked on a wide range of challenging projects such as

• Creating, running, and analyzing automated and manual tests for the latest version of ArcGIS for Desktop
• Creating Python scripts to verify geocoding requests for addresses all over the world
• Designing, implementing, and testing point-to-point routing functionality for the ArcGIS Runtime SDK for Android
