CrimeRisk data from AGS comes from an extensive analysis of more than seven years of crime statistics from the FBI Uniform Crime Report. Based on detailed modeling of the relationships between crime and demographics, CrimeRisk provides an accurate view of the relative risk of specific crime types at the block group geography level. CrimeRisk data consists of a series of indexes standardized to the U.S. average for a range of serious crimes against persons and property. Primary reporting categories include murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, theft, and motor vehicle theft.
