ArcGIS 9.3.1 users current on maintenance can now request the ESRI Data & Maps 2009 Update.
The 2009 Update is a stand-alone collection of Data & Maps datasets. Unlike the 2008 Update, it does not require combining data with the Data & Maps 9.3 Media Kit. The 2009 Update also includes all ready-to-use display files (.mxd, .lyr, .pmf, and .axl) and HTML Help files traditionally included in the Data & Maps Media Kit.
The 2009 Update is delivered on one DVD and includes more than 80 updated datasets. All vector datasets are provided in ESRI's Smart Data Compression (SDC) format and include updated metadata. For more details, view Read Me [PDF].
