Updated annually, Business Locations and Business Summary databases give you overview information about businesses by location and industry classification codes.

The Business Summary database gives you statistics for

  • Total sales
  • Total number of employees
  • Number of businesses by industry

The Business Locations point-level database provides business data by SIC and NAICS industry classifications and infoUSA's proprietary six-digit SIC and eight-digit NAICS industry codes.

  • Company name
  • City, state abbreviation, ZIP Code
  • Franchise codes for selected industries
  • Industry code
  • Number of employees
  • Estimated sales volume
  • Census block group code or tract/county code

  • Geographies—Business Summary: United States, state, county, census tract, block group, place, ZIP Code, CSD, CBSA, DMA, congressional district
  • Geography—Business Locations: U.S. point level

This data is also bundled with ArcGIS Business Analyst (desktop) and ArcGIS Business Analyst Server. You can use these Business Analyst products to visualize and analyze the business data together with other data.
