Smart Data Compression (SDC)

The optimized data structure of StreetMap Premium and StreetMap Premium Europe enables routing and high-performance geocoding as well as a superior cartographic display. This optimization is achieved through ESRI's Smart Data Compression (SDC) format, which reduces the size of the source data significantly. Additional advantages include:

• Draw performance and rendering are much faster than other file-based data sources
• Ability to direct-read StreetMap data without first decompressing it
• StreetMap data is directly accessible within ArcGIS software products

Delivery

StreetMap Premium and StreetMap Premium Europe are each delivered on a single DVD. The DVD includes complete metadata files and is configured to work with the StreetMap routing toolbar (included with ArcGIS Desktop) and the optional ArcGIS Network Analyst extension.

The StreetMap Premium DVD contains the entire street dataset for the United States and Canada. However, you can also order StreetMap Premium based on individual U.S. states or regions.

The StreetMap Premium Europe DVD contains the entire street dataset for the 23 European countries. However, you can also purchase individual European countries.
