Donny Sosa is a Survey Industry Specialist at Esri. He has 12 years’ experience in marketing industry solutions in surveying, civil engineering, and construction domains for ESRI. His responsibilities include developing business plans and marketing programs. This includes researching, analyzing, and monitoring financial, technological, and market factors to keep a pulse on industry domain.

Matt Davis

Esri

Matt Davis has 28 years of experience in GIS, mapping, and remote-sensing field including 22 years of working for Esri. At Esri, Davis has held a number of positions including ArcCAD product manager; account manager for the US Department of Defense (DoD), including a year in Japan working with US forces in the Far East; and regional manager of Esri’s Northeast region. Davis has been involved in a number of unique efforts to expand the use of GIS related to CAD integration, 3D and temporal GIS applications, and FM applications. In his current role, he focuses solely on the application of GIS in the architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) industry.

His previous roles include general manager of a direct digital aerial imagery company and surveying, drafting, and civil engineering staff for a New Hampshire engineering firm.

David Totman

Esri

David Totman is the Industry Manager of the Esri Global Water Practice providing thought leadership and market direction. He has been using GIS for over 25 years in business process optimization, project analytics, and infrastructure management.

Before joining Esri, Totman served as the Manager of Asset Management for Colorado Springs Utilities, one of the largest four-service municipally-owned utilities in the United States. He was educated in chemistry at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and received his Bachelor of Science in Geological Engineering from Arizona State University. Graduate work at ASU included a Research Assistantship with the College of Construction and thesis development in groundwater transportation methods. He has served on the Arizona Geographic Information Council (AGIC) and was a member of the Geospatial Information & Technology Association (GITA) since its AM/FM International days. He currently manages the Esri corporate membership for the American Water Works Association (AWWA), American Public Works Association (APWA), and is a voting board member of the Open Design Alliance (ODA).

Having served the American Society of Civil Engineers, he is currently the Chairman of the Spatial Data Application Committee in the Geomatics Division as well as Chairman of the Data Exchange Subcommittee in the ASCE 38 As-Built Standards Committee of the Construction Institute.

Brian Shaw

National Geodetic Survey

Brian Shaw is a Geodesist at NOAA’s National Geodetic Survey. He began his career at NGS in 2002 after earning a BS in Computer Science with minors in Mathematics, Geography and History from Radford University. He earned an MS in Geographic Information Systems from the University of Redlands in 2005. Brian serves as the Secretariat for the Federal Geodetic Control Subcommittee, is the NGS representative to the National States Geographic Information Council and is the leader of the NGS GIS team. He also actively supports NOAA's Science On a Sphere serving as a docent and the National Ocean Service advisor.

Ryan Hunsicker

County of San Bernardino

Ryan Hunsicker is a supervising land surveyor at the County of San Bernardino Survey Office. He has worked for the County of San Bernardino for the past 16 years, where he has served as a deputy county surveyor in charge of final maps, road rights-of-way dedications, reviewing and preparing Local Agency Formation maps and legal descriptions, GIS, and special projects. Hunsicker received his land surveying license in 2007 and has been certified by the GIS Certification Institute as a GIS professional.

Jeff Shaner is a Senior Product Manager within the Software Products and Development Division at Esri. He has been employed by Esri since September of 1995. With 20 years of experience in GIS and GPS, Jeff has been a key contributor to the development of GeoSpatial technology within Esri products.

Stuart Rich

PenBay

Stuart Rich is the chief technology officer of PenBay Solutions, with more than 15 years’ experience developing innovative geographic information systems and custom IT applications for government and nongovernment environmental organizations across the United States and Japan. He has several years of extensive geographic information systems experience, with an expertise in Esri technology, including project management, data analysis and modeling, and workflow methodology design work. Rich’s strengths are seen in his work as a system architect, business process analyst, and strategic planning manager. He has a BS in forest management from University of Maine.

Cody Benkelman

Esri

Benkelman has worked in the remote-sensing and GIS industry since 1990, serving as lead engineer on one of the industry’s earliest commercial multispectral digital camera systems. He is currently serving as a product manager on the imagery team, working to improve customer workflows with regard to using lidar, imagery, and raster data in ArcGIS. His recent work has been heavily focused on the explosion of activity regarding data collected by UAV platforms. Benkelman received an undergraduate degree in physics from Montana State University and a master’s degree in applied physics from the University of Colorado.

Shannon McElvaney is the Community Development Manager at Esri and a geodesign evangelist who helps create GIS software that enables people to design, build, and maintain livable, sustainable, and healthy communities. Mr. McElvaney has more than 20 years of experience applying a broad range of geospatial technologies across numerous industries. He has written many articles on the use of geospatial technology and is the author of a new book called Geodesign: Case Studies in Regional and Urban Planning. In addition to writing, Mr. McElvaney is a regular speaker at conferences and workshops around the world.

Eric Wittner is the CityEngine and Procedural Technology Product Manager at Esri. He works to expand public understanding of how Esri's 3D products can enhance an organizations products and process, and help bring them success. Having spent six years as part of the 3D software development team, he has an intimate understanding of Esri’s 3D technology. From his time as the product engineering lead for geodesign he understands how Esri's tools can be used to support interdisciplinary decision making in a variety of fields. As a thought leader at Esri, he helps shapes the vision and direction of Esri's software, data models, and solutions development through interaction with customers and the translation of their requirements into useful technology.

Amir Bar Maor

Amir Bar Maor is a product engineer with Esri in Redlands, California, where he works on the ArcGIS Desktop product team. His experience includes project management and design of GIS systems, surveying, photogrammetry, and real estate appraisal. Bar Maor received his BSc and MSc in geodetic engineering at the Technion—Israel Institute of Technology. Bar Maor is also a licensed land surveyor and real estate appraiser in the state of Israel

Chan Center for Building Simulation and Energy Studies. Jones has also been a judge for the AIA BIM Awards and the HOK BIM Awards.

Before joining Dodge Data & Analytics, Jones was vice president of Primavera Systems (now part of Oracle), the global leader in project management software. Prior to that, Jones spent 19 years in creative and management roles with top design firms, most recently as a principal and board of Directors member with Burt Hill, one of the largest A/E firms in the United States (now merged with Stantec). Jones holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a BA from The Johns Hopkins University.
