Call for Papers

Abstract submission deadline has expired.

ESRI Users are invited to present at the APUC and share their knowledge and experience in implementing GIS technology. Papers should explain the application of GIS in one of the topics listed below, lessons learned along the way, and the return on investment and benefit of implementing a GIS solution.

Tracks cover GIS implementations and geospatial methods in the following areas:

  • Government
  • Health, Environment, and Natural Resources
  • Defense and Intelligence
  • Commercial Businesses
  • Education
  • Transportation
  • Utilities

Authors will present in a 30-minute live presentation as part of a moderated session. Abstracts and papers will also be published as part of the conference proceedings.

Submission Guidelines

  • You must be an ESRI software user to submit an abstract.
  • Your title may not exceed 10 words.
  • Your abstract cannot be longer than 150 words.
  • At no time is it permissible for a paper presenter to use his/her time slot to advertise or promote a product, service, or company.
  • Do not write in all CAPITAL LETTERS. Remember, the information you enter is used for publishing purposes (e.g., Web site, agenda, CD-ROM).
  • Paper submissions and presentations must be in English.
  • No bullet points or numbering should be used.

Submissions should include

  • Author/Presenter name(s)
  • Presentation title with brief abstract (as noted above)
  • Company name
  • Complete address, phone, and fax
  • Presenter biography

There is a limited number of presentation slots available. We cannot guarantee that all submissions will be accepted.

Important Information
All papers and presentations must be noncommercial. Proceedings will be published on the event Web site. This year's committee will evaluate all abstracts and make selections based on topic, content, and time available. All authors will be notified after the selection process. A detailed program of presentations and events will be provided prior to the conference. Projector equipment will be provided. Please bring your laptop.
