Developing ArcGIS Web Applications

Architecting ArcGIS Solutions for the Enterprise

This workshop will discuss methodologies, resources and tools for architecting ArcGIS solutions into an organizational enterprise. Common patterns of GIS business behavior will be discussed as a framework for defining and organizing GIS solutions. These business patterns give way to architecture design patterns and technology approaches which provide the foundation of the presented ArcGIS Reference Architecture. Additionally, topics of contemporary computing models/approaches (e.g. SOA, WOA, CoDA and Cloud), application design approaches, and other relevant enterprise trends will be discussed. Throughout this workshop, real world examples and case studies will be presented with attendees encouraged to openly participate and share experiences.

Geodesign – Using ArcGIS to Improve the Design Process

This session will take attendees through the CityEngine modelling and design software and how it can be used to geoenable design workflows within an organisation. CityEngine is the technology of choice for 3D city modelling in urban planning, architecture, defence, simulation, and game and film production.
