Accelebrate's Swift training course introduces attendees to Apple’s new programming language for Cocoa and Cocoa Touch. During the course, attendees complete hands-on lab exercises that involve building applications for both the iOS and OS X platform. The final lab will demonstrate using the ArcGIS Runtime SDKs for iOS and Mac OS X using the Swift language.

What do I need to bring?

Bring a newer Mac computer with a recent version of the Mac OS.  Unfortunately for this course, loaner or classroom machines are NOT provided or available. You must bring your own.

Why do I need this class?

Understand the benefits of Swift and its role in iOS and OS X software development, and gain experience using Swift’s fundamental data types and statements. You will learn to build a functional iOS and OS X app using Swift, and see how Swift supports object-oriented development principles.

All attendees should have some previous programming experience (any language) and having familiarity with object-oriented programming concepts is recommended. Attendees should have some experience using the OS X operating system (launching applications, working with files, etc.).
