ArcGIS Server Code Challenge

No purchase required to enter or win.

  1. Participation: Applicants must submit a code sample that they have independently developed using any level (Enterprise or Workgroup) or edition (Advanced, Standard, or Basic) of ArcGIS Server 9.2. Custom ArcGIS Explorer Tasks qualify if they are associated with an ArcGIS Server 9.2 solution.
  2. ESRI international distributors, ESRI employees, or the immediate family (spouse, parents, siblings, and children) and household members of each such employee or person are not eligible to enter.
  3. How to Enter: Code sample submissions for the ArcGIS Server Challenge must be uploaded on the ArcScripts Web page for consideration. An ESRI global account is required to log in and upload your code sample. Completion of the entry form is also required.
  4. Number of Entries: Applicants may enter the Challenge as many times as they like so long as each submission is unique, self-contained, and submitted separately. Applicants may not submit the exact same code sample more than once during the challenge.
  5. Deadline: Entries must be received no later than 5:00 p.m. pacific daylight time Friday, February 29, 2008.
  6. Judging: A community of developers as notified by e-mail and defined as current EDN subscribers and registered attendees for the 2008 Developer Summit as of the day of voting will vote for first-, second-, and third-place winners based on the creativity, applicability, and originality of the code sample. Voting will close 9:00 a.m. pacific standar time March 13, 2008.
  7. Odds: Odds of winning will vary depending on the number of submitted valid entries and the quality of the submitted entries based on the judging criteria described above.
