Keynote Speaker
Alan Cooper Alan Cooper, a pioneering software inventor, programmer, designer, and theorist and widely known as the "father of Visual Basic," has been helping companies invent powerful, usable, and desirable software for the last decade. His visionary ideas have been considered controversial before becoming accepted as common practice. Mr. Cooper’s keynote presentation is a chance to “wake up and smell the software.” He will address the stereotypes of managing software development and provide insights for correctly managing the process in today’s environment. In the increased complexity of today’s business and IT environments, software development is much more difficult than in the past. Given that many users complain about ease-of-use, performance, and instability, it’s time for software developers to fundamentally rethink the development process. Mr. Cooper is the author of two best-selling books, About Face: The Essentials of User Interface Design and The Inmates Are Running the Asylum. |
