Do I have to be an Esri customer to attend the 2013 Education GIS Conferenceation GIS Conference?

The Education GIS Conferenceation GIS Conference is open to customers and prospective customers.

Are discounted registration rates offered for the Education GIS Conference?

The fee for the Education GIS Conference is $175, and there are no discounted rates offered.

Does a UC complimentary registration include the Education GIS Conference?

Complimentary passes for the Education GIS Conference are reserved for those with a current central site license who are also using a complimentary pass for the International User Conference.

What does the registration fee include?

The Education GIS Conference registration includes the Plenary Session, breakout sessions, EXPO and Social on Saturday, July 6. The International User Conference Plenary Session, Academic GIS Program Fair, and Map Gallery Opening and Evening Reception on Monday, July 8, are also included.

Can I bring my family?

Only registered attendees have access to the conference. Family is welcome to attend the UC Map Gallery Opening and Evening Reception on Monday, July 8, from 3:30 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

What payment methods are accepted for registration?

Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover credit cards are accepted forms of payment.

Purchase orders can only be accepted from Esri customers in good credit standing. A copy of the purchase order with the correct amount and attendee name must be faxed to 909-307-3128, Attn.: UC Registration. Invoices are processed about 30 days after the event.

Traveler's checks and cash will also be accepted at the on-site Registration Desk.

When will I receive a confirmation of my registration?

A confirmation will be e-mailed from 7 to 10 business days after the registration is submitted online.

What time should I arrive to check in for the Education GIS Conference?

If you preregistered and do not have a balance due, you may want to be at the Convention Center an hour before the conference starts. If you need to register on-site, or if you have a balance due, you should be there about one and one-half hours before the conference begins.

Is there a parking fee for the event?

Yes, the parking fee at the Marriott is $26 per day to self-park and $36 per day for valet parking.

Where do I go to pick up my badge and check in for the Education GIS Conference?

If you registered, received a confirmation, and do not need to make a payment, please pick up your badge in the Marina Foyer South Tower level 3.

On-Site Registration
If you need to register, change an existing registration, or make a payment, please visit the on-site registration counter located in the San Diego Convention Center, Hall E.

What do I need to bring to check in for the conference?

A photo ID is required to pick up your badge. It helps to bring a copy of your confirmation letter.

Do I receive a refund if I cancel my registration?

A full refund for the registration fee will be given if the registration is cancelled by June 14, 2013. You must notify registration at 909-793-2853, extension 1-1363, to cancel your registration.
