This two-day hands-on seminar is geared towards ArcGIS for Server administrators. The first day covers the main components of the new architecture of ArcGIS for Server, its installation and configuration (for Development, High Capacity, High Availability etc), as well as a tour of its management tools (ArcGIS Server Manager), administration API and security. The second day reviews key aspects of the GIS service publishing workflow, and enhancements to ArcGIS Server services including Printing, Map Service Dynamic Layers, Geoprocessing and Feature Services.
Prerequisites: Basic knowledge of ArcGIS for Desktop and Server.

This hands-on workshop presents a process of performance tuning, testing, and monitoring. Presenters discuss methodology and tools for analyzing key performance factors and the root causes of typical performance problems, as well as the role of performance testing and benchmarks in the capacity modeling process and system design. (Detailed capacity planning processes are covered in System Architecture Design Strategies, offered on Sunday.) Computers are provided with preloaded data; exercises; and tools, like System Test Tool, System Profiler, and System Designer.
Prerequisites: Knowledge of ArcGIS Server, ArcSDE, and RDBMS are required.
Audience: Testers, developers, administrators, and project managers who want to learn about more effective techniques for improving and managing the performance and scalability of ArcGIS enterprise systems.
