 The Salzburg Congress is optimally connected to the public transport network via “Mirabellplatz” and can be easily reached.

     1 km from the city center of Salzburg

    6 km from the airport Salzburg (Bus every 30 min)

    0,8km from the train station (10 min by foot)

 The Salzbur Congress can also be reached on foot from all recommended hotels and the city centre.

    20 to 30 minutes transfer time

    Numerous connections  i.e. to Berlin, Cologne, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg, London, Zürich and Vienna.

 Munich Airport

The SMS (Salzburger Mietwagen Service) is a convenient transfer shuttle service between Munich Airport and your accommodation in Salzburg. This will take aprox. 2hours and 40 min.

You can also book a train ticket – this will require a change in Munich (see train below) and  will take about 2 ½ hours. Please note: this service may be disrupted at this time

 Vienna Airport

Regular train services connect Vienna airport and Salzburg (see train below). This will take about 4 hours

Public Transport System

 Salzburg is a very compact city, almost everything in the inner city is in walking distance. The public bus system is very reliable and convenient. The Congress can be reached by different lines going to „Kongresshaus“(from train station) or “Mirabellplatz” (from city). The Local Bus Services also provides detailed schedules and route maps.


 Taxis can be found at various taxi stands throughout the city or called by local phone (0662)8111 or (0662)2220. Taxis are available right on Mirabellplatz!


Salzburg is at the centre of the European highway network: the A1 Vienna-Salzburg, the A8 Munich–Salzburg and the A10 Villach–Salzburg all converge in Salzburg. Please remember to purchase a toll sticker if you are driving to Salzburg.
