Esri and USGIF Classified App Challenge on February 22nd (Two-Day Session)

Compete against others from around the Intelligence Community to meet an analytic challenge and develop a new application leveraging the IC GIS Portal. Teams will mash up data, perform analytics, and produce an interactive product using configurable applications. Prior to the event, all teams will have access to free training on the IC GIS platform. Teams of 2 or more participants are required to participate.

Please note: Participation in this App Challenge includes participation in the presentations on 23 February.

Esri Classified User Symposium on February 23 (One-Day Session)

Join us for a keynote from Jack Dangermond, President of Esri and a series of presentations showing the latest Esri solutions for the IC. The NGA GEOINT Services team will provide an update on IC GIS Portal capabilities that are now available. There will also be presentations from the previous day’s App Challenge, showcasing their results.

Federal App Challenge Workshop on February 18th - CANCELLED

Esri will conduct a workshop in which you will install, configure and learn to use WebApp Builder, AppStudio, and a variety of StoryMap templates. Please note: you do not have to attend the February 23rd event to attend this event.

This workshop will be conducted at the Esri office located at 8615 Westwood Center Drive, Vienna, VA from 8:00 to 16:30.


Federal App Challenge on February 23rd - CANCELLED

Participate in the Federal App Challenge and learn how to use the latest GIS technology to develop powerful applications without needing to write any code! Work with a small team from your organization to put your new skills to use. Develop one or more applications that you might expect to use during a simulated national event (such as a natural disaster, crisis response, site selection, or related event). You will have a chance to brief other participants on your work, collect feedback, and compete for a trophy and prize. Teams should consist of 3 to 4 analysts from the same agency.

This event will be conducted at a USDA Facility (TDC) located in the downtown Washington, DC, area from 8:00 to 16:00.
