Lightning Talks
Present a rapid-fire lightning talk about your exciting innovations and ideas that use GIS. Each five-minute presentation should spark your peers' creativity and get them motivated about new ways to use GIS technology in their projects.
Lightning talk proposals (including final presentation slides) are due January 11 . Lightning talks will be presented on Monday, February 25.
Guidelines
- Share one great idea – Tell a story, motivate, and inspire.
- Make it quick – Presentations must be five minutes or less.
- No live demos – We want to hear about the idea directly from you.
- Limit your slides – In the style of Ignite events, your slides are automatically advanced by the moderator to fit within the five-minute timeframe. For example, a 20-slide presentation advances at a rate of 15 seconds per slide; and a 5-slide presentation receives 60 seconds per slide. Please use only non-copyrighted images in presentation slides.
- Have fun! – This is your chance to share your passion for your great idea. For inspiration, read How to Give a Great Ignite Talk or watch a lightning talk on writing Unix daemons to see how a seemingly dull topic can be made exciting.
