The mission of CDC’s office of the chief of public health practice is to advance achievement of CDC's health protection goals through science-based, practice-oriented standards, policies, and law.

Dr. Bailey will update the health GIS user community on the implications for GIS in agency accreditation at the local and state levels, and what CDC has learned about GIS through initiatives such as the National Public Health Performance Standards Program. She will also discuss public health practice priorities under the new administration, including the prospect for increased collaborations with the CDC’s Office of Global Health.
