Techniques for Monitoring and Analyzing your ArcGIS Implementation

Growing, enabling and empowering more users in your organization to take advantage of ArcGIS technology will require maintaining a resilient and well performing infrastructure, services and environment. This workshop will review the methods, tools and techniques for monitoring and analyzing your ArcGIS implementation. The workshop will focus on the use of Esri’s System Monitor and other tools for monitoring ArcGIS Servers, Web Servers and Enterprise Geodatabases. There will also be discussion regarding the monitoring of ArcGIS Online and Portal for ArcGIS. Establishing automated monitoring and reporting on the use of your ArcGIS technology is critical in not only maintaining optimal performance, but also for troubleshooting issues when they arise and planning for growth and upgrades.

Simplified Web App Deployment with the Web AppBuilder for ArcGIS

Would you like to create a focused, browser-based GIS application without writing a single line of code? Or are you a developer who’s interested in how application builders can provide a starting point for customization? In this workshop, you’ll use the new ArcGIS Web AppBuilder to create JavaScript/HTML5 web application that can be targeted for any browser on computers, tablets and smartphones. The workshop will cover all the requirements and walk through the steps to determine the content, functionality and styling of the application. If your application requires customization, the workshop will present possibilities and techniques for developing custom widgets or customized themes to tailor its look and feel.

Building the Living Atlas of the World with Esri Community Maps (Hands-on Workshop)

Monday, December 1, 2014, 1:00 p.m.–5:00 p.m.

This hands-on workshop will introduce the benefits of participating in Esri Community Maps: a cooperative effort by the ArcGIS user community to build a living atlas of the world using the best available data sources from GIS organizations in local government, countries, and private companies. You will learn how the program is structured, best practices for preparing authoritative content to be published in Community Maps online maps services, and how to leverage published content to create dynamic and useful web mapping applications. This interactive session includes group activities, discussions about current updates and enhancements, and software demonstrations.
