Chief, GIS Division
What keeps me up at night motivates me at work. Every day I’m excited to solve the next geospatial challenge to support future emergencies and make a difference in the lives of Californians. I’m passionate about emergency management and the geospatial tools that provide us real or near real-time intelligence for emergency situational awareness. Prior to joining State services, I honed my GIS skills in the private sector as a GIS analyst at Ch2m-Hill, HDR GIS consultant, and CAD/GIS manager for Wallace-Kuhl and Associates for five years. It was the best day of my career when I joined the Cal OES family in November 2013 as a GIS Research Analyst and served as one of the Incident Support Team Leads. Since January 2015, I have had the privilege of leading the rock star GIS team of highly dedicated professionals who are flexible to the ever changing environment of technologies and ongoing demanding activations.
