The Technical Support Island is staffed with experts where you can talk one-to-one with Esri staff. They can answer your questions, collect your feedback, help you navigate your challenges, and share best practices with you.

Web

This is the place to explore the latest information about working with and managing ArcGIS for Server, as well as creating and deploying web mapping applications and geocode services. Here you can learn about making and using the wide variety of GIS services available with ArcGIS, including map services, geoservices, image services, geoprocessing services, OGC compliant services, and many more. You can learn about the new Portal for ArcGIS and about best practices for tuning your GIS server, creating map caches, setting up security, planning scalability, and improving performance. You’ll also see demonstrations of how to set up and manage web editing and get started using ArcGIS for Server on Amazon Web Services. Get your questions answered about developing with ArcGIS Web APIs for JavaScript, Flex, and Silverlight.

Apps and Runtime SDKs

Visit this area of the showcase to learn more about Esri’s ArcGIS Runtime SDKs and ready-to-deploy applications. Esri staff responsible for building and deploying apps and Runtime SDKs will be there to answer your questions and share what they are working on. In addition, you will discover opportunities to better leverage your investment in GIS, and “test-drive” ArcGIS on a variety of devices.

Software Feedback

The Esri Software Development Group is interested in your comments and feedback on the current quality of ArcGIS, as well as your ideas on how to improve future software releases. Help us understand your GIS workflows and discuss ways you can become more productive and efficient with your work. We want to know how you are using Esri software throughout your entire organization to implement your GIS projects for individual tasks or successfully complete entire GIS workflows. Understanding your workflow is critical for Esri to help test and build better solutions.

Location Analytics

Esri Location Analytics augments enterprise business systems with content, mapping, and geographic capabilities through complementary and non-disruptive technology. Visit the island and see how you can extend the ArcGIS platform to target applications using technology that's native to the underlying system.

Customer Service

Domestic and international customer service representatives will be available to answer questions regarding order status, general licensing information, and maintenance status. Experienced staff will also be available to demonstrate the Esri Partner Network (EPN) ordering system, Customer Service site, and Customer Care site, which enable users to view license summaries, download version 10x software, manage version 10x authorization numbers, update address or contact information, and much more.

Desktop

Desktop applications are used to build the maps and data models that you use throughout your GIS. Visit the Desktop Island to talk to development staff about storing and retrieving data, creating maps and models, using Python and geoprocessing tools, and publishing from Desktop applications.
