Tournament Details
The tournament will be played on the South Course and will feature a four-player shamble format. In a shamble, all players hit their tee shots, then the best drive of the team is selected. From the spot of the selected tee shot, each player then plays his or her own ball until the conclusion of the hole. The two best scores (gross) of the foursome are added together to make the total team score. The tournament will be held, rain or shine.
The tournament was named in memory of Jim Christoffersen of the Esri Business Partner Program. Jim was inspired to share his love of golf when he organized the first golf tournament for the Business Partner Conference in 1993 and ran it for 15 years. Today it’s one of the most popular events associated with the Esri Partner Conference. Jim’s idea helped start a tradition that will continue to help GIS professionals meet, become colleagues, and find possibilities for a better world.
If you have questions or would like to sign up a team of four players, e-mail Galen Harry. Otherwise, you will be randomly assigned to a foursome.
