An Evening in Balboa Park

Thursday, July 17 5:30 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Join us for an exclusive evening celebration with great food, entertainment, and access to six museums and attractions in San Diego's iconic Balboa Park.

Museums and Attractions

Jump into the carnival atmosphere at Balboa Park’s Cascades Fountain and continue the party with other snacks, musicians, and entertainers along the park’s central Prado Walkway.

The Reuben H. Fleet Science Center will host families and anyone else who is young at heart, offering kid-friendly food, face painting, science craft projects, and balloon artists. Enjoy the special children’s exhibit, Illusion: Nothing is As It Seems.

Make your way to the San Diego Natural History Museum for dessert, coffee, and pirates. Experience a fearsome flotilla of Real Pirates. Then enjoy The Natural World: Photographs by Thomas D. Mangelsen.

At the Casa de Balboa, the San Diego History Center will feature a taste of Asia, soulful guitar music, and its current exhibitions, Presidio to Pacific Powerhouse and Sin Diego. You’ll also find the Model Railroad Museum with its huge displays of tiny railroads, and the Museum of Photographic Arts, where you can enjoy the current photography exhibits, After Ansel Adams and Aperture Remix.

The beautiful Prado Restaurant in the House of Hospitality will serve up farm-fresh California cuisine and feature crowd favorite, back by popular demand, Metalichi. Are you ready to rock?

The Patio B at Casa del Prado is on fire (for those 21 and older) with the classic menu selections and an acoustic duo.

The Botanical Garden Lawns offers one of the most picturesque settings in the park. Enjoy the beautiful San Diego evening as you dine on American comfort food with a twist and listen to a California country band.

Enjoy Spanish tapas, dessert, and coffee at the San Diego Museum of Art. Hear live opera on the patio and go inside for Spanish Flamenco guitar music. See the exhibit, Spanish Sojourns—Robert Henri and the Spirit of Spain. Plus, Art of East Asia and Sorollla and America.
