ESRI sponsors programs that help organizations serve society and better the environment using geographic information system (GIS) technology. ESRI-sponsored grants offer free software, hardware, and/or training for programs in the following areas:

• Education and 4-H
  K–12 education and 4-H groups
• Government
  Units of state and local government in the United States
• Nonprofit
  Nonprofit and public service organizations, both U.S. and outside the U.S.
• Indigenous Groups
  Indigenous groups and tribal governments, both U.S. and outside the U.S.
• Botanical Gardens and Zoological Parks
  Botanical gardens and zoological parks, both U.S. and outside the U.S.

ESRI Grant Assistance Program

The ESRI Grant Assistance Program (GAP) offers customized funding solutions at no cost. Many U.S. federal agencies offer grant programs that fund projects incorporating GIS technology. ESRI GAP will help you search for grants that meet your needs, address grant requirements, suggest a GIS solution for your project, and assist with your grant application narrative. U.S. federal programs typically only fund organizations and government agencies that are within the United States or one of its territories or possessions.

Business Partners and the Grant Assistance Program

If you are a business partner interested in grant funding, we are happy to assist you. To obtain information on grants in which your organization would be the primary applicant, please request assistance for yourself. If you are helping a customer of yours obtain funding, we encourage you to direct customers to the online Assistance Request Form or fill it out on their behalf. We need a customer’s full set of information to accurately search for relevant grants.

If you are an applicant outside of the U.S. or an ESRI distributor and have questions about grants, please contact us through Request Assistance. We will respond to your inquiry and direct you to the appropriate contacts at ESRI and/or in your nation.
