Esri GIS Grants for 4-H (US)

The 2015 Esri GIS Grants for 4-H application will be accepted from Oct. 1, 2014 to Dec. 1, 2014. Your youth group may be eligible for access to Esri ArcGIS licenses under a Statewide K-12 license. Please visit k12schoollicenses for more information.

The 4-H GIS  grant program is designed to provide 4-H and other youth serving non-profit organizations in the U.S. with access to ArcGIS software for youth instructional and service learning projects in the community. Software, lessons, and participation in the community calls and webinars are available to support youth programming.

The Esri Youth Program provides youth serving organizations such as 4-H, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, Boys and Girls Clubs, and other accredited after school or out of school organizations with a way to integrate Esri GIS technology into their informal STEM, Science, Environmental, and Career programs.

The Esri 4-H GIS program is intended to help 4-H groups expand its current Science, Engineering and Technology (SET), Citizenship and Healthy Living programs that support nearly 7 million youth members.

4-H youth from around the United States are selected annually as members of The National 4-H GIS GPS Leadership Team. This youth and adult team provides leadership and act as GeoMentors to the hundreds of 4-H clubs across the nation using Esri GIS technology in their local projects and for local service learning projects. The National 4-H GIS GPS Leadership team members are active presenters and participants in the Esri Education User Conference and Esri International User Conference.

The National 4-H mission is to empower youth to reach their full potential by working and learning in partnership with caring adults, and fostering opportunities for community engagement and service projects.
