Shopping in Barrington is limited to one major shopping center anchored by a large supermarket and a number of smaller shopping plazas. All of these shopping areas are located on main roads or on roads that parallel the bikepath – a former railway. Stores found in the smaller shopping plazas include a bakery, a fish market, convenience stores, jewelry stores, florist shops, a pet store, restaurants, delicatessens, a mail center, video stores, an auto store, and a candy store. Most people in Barrington frequently shop elsewhere in Rhode Island or nearby Massachusetts in malls or large chain stores such as Home Depot, Wallmart, and Staples. |
