ESRI offers unique licensing options that allow libraries and museums to acquire GIS software and data under special agreements:
- Student and Educational Individual License
Individual licenses are available to students, faculty, staff, and other educators for academic or research use.
- Teaching and Research Lab Kit License
This license is designed for teaching and research and is available to educational institutions, libraries, and museums.
- Teaching Lab Pack License
This option is designed for instructional use that includes up to 25 licenses for use in one physical location, such as a computer lab, educational institution, library, or museum.
- Site License
A site license allows an institution to use ESRI software throughout the entire facility for teaching, research, or administrative purposes for a single annual fee.
Commercial use of ESRI's educational software licenses is prohibited.
