Nextel customers no longer need to spend hundreds of dollars on a dedicated GPS unit, and they gain the added convenience of combining their GPS with their Nextel phone. Individuals purchasing Trimble Outdoors get free trip planning software for their PC that allows them to plan an outdoor trip using detailed street, topographic, and aerial photo maps covering the United States.

Trimble Outdoors with a Nextel Phone - Click to enlargeTrip plans are sent to the individual's Nextel phone for added convenience and ease of use. With a Nextel i860 camera phone, they can take photos on their trip and wirelessly transfer those photos to their Trimble Outdoors account. Individuals can share their trip routes, points of interest, notes, and photos with a large online community of friends as well as view similar trip information from other Trimble Outdoors members, making the activity safer and more enjoyable.
