Remote Sensing Solutions

There is exponential growth in the availability and resolution of remotely sensed imagery from earth-orbiting satellites and airborne, hydrographic, and terrestrial sensors. Remotely sensed data is a primary source for defense and national mapping organizations (NMOs) in their geospatial production and maintenance.
News and Events
NMOs are challenged to manage rapidly expanding catalogs of imagery from various sources and trust it will be accessible in near real time.

Solutions to Meet Your Challenges

Data latency, accuracy, and accessibility to variable data formats are constant challenges for NMOs. They need reliable, robust systems with the following capabilities:

  • Enterprise integration and management of large raster datasets to provide accessibility
  • Standards-based GIS to enable interoperability
  • Dynamic server-side image processing from native data sources to minimize data latency

Improve Your Workflow

ESRI Products
Streamline your workflow with these products.

An effective workflow provides solutions for data collection, management, production, and exploitation of the data.

Traditionally, workflows have been linear. ArcGIS Image Server is linear, circular, and transactional. The traditional image-chain processing would require referencing the data, performing analysis, creating a product, and making the product available. ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Image Server transform this linear processing chain into transactional processing. You author, serve, and use the data immediately for any of these processes as soon as the data is loaded.
