Jennifer Schottke

Specialist—Fire/EMS and Public Safety Policy

Ms. Schottke joined Esri in 1997 as business partner coordinator for the Washington, D.C., regional office and currently serves as structural fire and public safety policy specialist. Her responsibilities include coordinating Esri's public safety industry marketing activities in the areas of structural firefighting, emergency medical services, and national public safety policy. She also acts as liaison between Esri and many public safety associations and professional societies.

Professional Experience

• From 1991–1997, Ms. Schottke served as director of member services for the International Association of Fire Chiefs (IAFC). In this capacity, she served as staff liaison to the IAFC 2nd vice president, the IAFC Division Leadership, and the Constitution & By-Laws and Elections Committees. She was also responsible for providing overall direction to the membership department operations and marketing programs.
• From 1980 through 1989, she held positions as a television advertising sales executive at CBS Television Network and at local affiliate stations in New Hampshire and Washington, D.C. In direct sales and management positions, she was a consistent leader in exceeding revenue goals. She demonstrated creative approaches to expanding market potential in an environment of eroding ratings for network stations.
• From 1990 to the present, she has volunteered as editorial advisor in the development of fire and emergency service textbooks. She is a member of the Fairfax City Volunteer Fire Department and is certified as an emergency medical technician and firefighter I-II.

• Master's degree in environmental education from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor
• Bachelor's degree in public policy from Duke University
