Crime Analysis Application Extension

This application is designed to provide easy-to-use tools for geographic crime analysis, data management, mapping, and reporting. Development of the Crime Analysis application was supported under an award from the National Institute of Justice (NIJ), Department of Justice.

Please read more information from NIJ before downloading the Community Policing Beat Book application or documentation files.

Note: Downloading the Crime Analysis file will take a significant amount of time (file size approximately 6 MB). Please be sure to first download and print the Installation Instructions and follow the directions.

Using Crime Analysis requires ArcView GIS 3.2 with the Spatial Analyst extension. The application will not load into ArcView GIS properly without the Spatial Analyst extension. An additional note: In order to run the reporting functions of the extension applications, install Crystal Reports functions at the end of your ArcView GIS installation.

Please be sure to restart your computer following installation of the Crime Analysis application.
