Data

GIS data is available from many sources, including ESRI, government agencies, and commercial vendors. The availability of very detailed, localized data varies from place to place. If you are outside the United States, contact your ESRI Distributor for suggestions on finding maps and data.

ESRI Data Products provide a range of ready-to-use geospatial data products delivered either as Web Services or as packaged media.

In addition, many Web sites provide access to GIS data on a variety of themes. The cost of data and licenses governing its use will vary from place to place. Be sure to review the dataset metadata when evaluating its suitability for your needs.
