Data Models for Water and Wastewater
The Arc Hydro Groundwater Data Model is used to represent multidimensional groundwater data including temporal information, 3D representations of borehole and hydrostratigraphy, and data from aquifer maps, well databases, geologic maps, and simulation models. The Hydro Data Model focuses on surface water with data from key state, national, and international contributors that is available for review and download. The ArcGIS Water Utilities Data Model is a collection of objects, feature classes, and attributes defined for water and wastewater distribution networks. The model can be tailored to meet project requirements for data management and integration with other systems. I just want to say that the creation of the Water Wastewater Utility Data model has been something that has been greatly appreciated by me over the past few years. It has helped tremendously with my implementation of our Enterprise GIS and has been used as the basis for our Water and Sanitary Modeling and has helped out amazingly with our implementation of RIVA. Most people in our Utilities division have only just started to realize the information and structure of our Data thanks to your groups efforts.
