Town of Clifton—Pump and Haul Wastewater Collection System
The Fairfax County, Virginia, wastewater collection system consists of more than 3,200 miles of sewer lines, approximately 92,000 manholes, 65 pumping stations, and other facilities. The collection system serves 85 percent of the 325,000 households and virtually all businesses within the county. This map shows the collection system for one of the two pump and haul systems in the county.

The Truckee Donner Public Utility District services, Truckee, California, used GIS to minimize leaks, improve the integrity of the water system, and efficiently manage fieldwork time; the pipe replacement application quickly and efficiently assigns each pipe segment a replacement designation.
