A landscape architect by training, Jack Dangermond founded Esri in 1969 with a vision that a mapping and analysis framework could provide a deeper understanding of our world and help us design a better future. As founder and president of Esri, Dangermond's leadership and vision stimulate the ongoing innovation of GIS technologies that enable people to make insightful decisions and improve the quality of life everywhere.
Mr. Sam Pitroda is an internationally respected development thinker, policy maker, telecom inventor, and entrepreneur who has spent 48 years in information and communications technology (ICT) and related human and national developments.
There will also be a demo theater and "unconference"-style scheduling board for you to plan your own demonstrations and small interest group meetings.
will.i.am, a multi-faceted entertainer and creative innovator, is a seven-time Grammy Award winner. In addition to his successful music career, will.i.am is a prolific entrepreneur and philanthropist. He will share his vision of increasing participation in STEM education by implementing Esri technology and GIS through the i.am.angel foundation.
James Fallows, national correspondent for The Atlantic, author of 10 books, and former speechwriter for President Jimmy Carter, is one of America’s most acclaimed writers. He will unveil the American Futures project at the Esri International User Conference and explain how mapping technology can help journalists engage their audiences in new and more insightful ways.
