At the time of this writing, these are the currently known issues related to Section 508 compliance. This list may not be comprehensive and will be periodically updated as more information becomes available.

ArcIMS Administrative Components, Administrator, Designer, and Author Compliance Known Issue

1. ArcIMS does not use local user accessibility settings.

ArcIMS Viewers

The out-of-the-box HTML, Java Standard, and Java Custom Viewers are assessed for compliance only in the form in which they are delivered, i.e., prior to any user customization. In that format, the viewers are not compliant with the following rule:

1. Frames shall be titled with text that facilitates frame identification and navigation. (§1194.22 (i))

All other samples included with ArcIMS or available for download from http://support.esri.com, including the ArcIMS Site Starters, are untested.
