Mapping the Expedition

Data Sources

GIS allows many different types of data to be fused together into a common geographic framework from which to analyze the Lewis and Clark expedition. Data such as elevation, watersheds, ecoregions, soils, wildlife, precipitation, and other spatial characteristics add new dimensions to their journey and the changes that have occurred during the past 200 years.
