North Dakota State Highway Map

This is the first digital version of the North Dakota State Highway map, which was developed at North Dakota Department of Transportation (NDDOT) with ArcMap 8.3. Base layer information that was currently in ArcInfo coverages was imported into several geodatabases. Any custom symbology was designed and created with Fontographer, and all the annotation was created within the map as annotation groups.

It took approximately one year to produce the initial map design and several months to fine-tune it. The final product was sent to the printer as a PostScript file and was printed on schedule the first week of December 2004.
