These maps are examples of the components of a typical South Carolina Department of Commerce (SCDoC) site flier. Site fliers are used to communicate pertinent site selection information to prospective companies, consultants, or others who have an economic development interest in South Carolina. A database of available industrial sites and parks is maintained via a customized application in ArcMap; these fliers are created automatically when information is updated. The database of available industrial sites and parks is searchable via the SCDoC Web site where users can search for sites based on various criteria and view or download some or all of the maps and information that meet their needs.

Various sources of raster data are combined with vector layers such as site/park polygons and water/wastewater lines to create a powerful combination of maps and information easily accessible via the Internet. The site fliers offer a detailed indication of the property boundary and surrounding area to support decision making. Site consultants and potential economic development prospects rely on access to custom searches about available sites for their site selection process. The site fliers support this essential aspect of economic development in South Carolina.
