This map was created using the parcel layer as the base map. Other themes used were the public facilities parcels from the zoning theme and the building footprints theme. The latest Metroscan data was joined to the parcels theme using the assessor's parcel number field, and then data in the total property value field was classified as shown in the legend.

Electric Circuits Map

The city street rights-of-way theme served as the base layer for this map. An AutoCAD drawing, created from the original 12-kilovolt Mylar circuit map for the electric utility, was converted into ArcInfo coverages and then to shapefiles.The result has three essential components — electric circuit, switches, and substations. Lines were classified for the circuit layer by circuit name and whether they are overhead or underground circuits. For the switch layer, the points were classified into switch location and underground open connections. The substation point layer was classified by substation name.
