Lexington completed three land use studies — two inventories (1995 and 2000) and an expected full development (2020). The three coverages were integrated to produce a fourth coverage that was used to analyze land use changes. Queries for 1995 land use equivalent to vacant were conducted to show the difference from land use 2000 and full development land use. The process was repeated for 2000 land use equivalent to vacant. The resulting maps display the land use changes between the three data sets. This project was an evaluation of the land use inventory and analysis to determine the accuracy of projected land use to actual development. It concentrated on vacant land but can be produced using any land use category. |
