The Total Expressway Maintenance Management
System (TEMAN) is a decision support tool intended to provide maintenance personnel and section managers with inventory, condition, and maintenance information. The GIS component uses ESRI's MapObjects software to enable spatial representations of expressway assets, such as bridges, slopes, and culverts, to be displayed in a single Windows-based interface together with attribute information stored in the TEMAN database.
TEMAN enables users to display the location of selected assets in a seamless mapping environment and access related attribute information directly from the GIS. This includes basic inventory data, the latest inspection records, and photographs of the assets. Currently, there are four TEMAN modules in use at PLUS Berhad.
