A 10-meter resolution digital elevation model was obtained from SPOT stereo imagery. SPOT panchromatic (10-meter resolution) and Landsat 7 Enhanced Thematic Mapper (15-meter resolution) imagery was used for interpretation and mapping of lithological contacts and structures. Topology was built on contacts to obtain the formational units (polygons) with ArcInfo, and the corresponding attributes were loaded. Dip direction data obtained in the field was also added.
With data entry completed, symbology was assigned to each layer. The resulting surface geology map was used as a source of information for structural analysis combined with the topographic information.
