Dams of California’s Central Valley Symbolized by Storage Capacity

This poster includes dams in California’s Central Valley with maximum storage capacities of greater than 500,000 acre-feet. Dam location symbols have been extruded by maximum storage capacity. Total storage behind these facilities exceeds 25.5 million acre-feet. One acre-foot equals 326,000 gallons—enough water to supply a five-person household for an entire year.
