A Web-based GIS farm production system was developed by creating a digital database of several maps and other relevant farm data. Hyperspectral airborne remote sensing can be used for leaf color analysis, soil classification, and monitoring the growth stage of rice in a large area. Recent developments in information technology (IT) and the Internet have brought substantial change in society and economic structure globally. IT can also be used in the agriculture production system. Transparent agriculture helps track the product and update product information.

PASCO Corporation has a long-term policy of integrating GIS and airborned remote sensing. It offers farming system services using this advanced technology. This new farming system tool can address the problem of trade-off between high productivity and low emission in agriculture while focusing on the environment and society. The tool uses airborne remote sensing to investigate the quality of agriculture products, and GIS helps analyze production history.
